Dr Barrie Tan is a President's Scholar. He was awarded the prestigious President’s Scholarship from the Public Service Commission in 1994 to study Medicine at the National University of Singapore, where he graduated top of his Medical School Class, winning the Gibb’s Gold Medal (First in General Proficiency). He subsequently completed ENT Specialist Training in Singapore and won the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Plan Award for a year-long subspeciality Fellowship in Otology, Hearing Implant, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at the prestigious Ear Science Institute Australia from 2010-2011.

From 2013 to 2019, Dr Barrie Tan was the Head, Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) in Singapore General Hospital.

Dr Barrie Tan was the Director, Centre for Hearing and Ear Implants, Singapore General Hospital from 2012 till 2019. He has personally performed hundreds of cochlear implant surgeries both locally and regionally, performing and supervising cochlear implant surgeries in countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia. He has previously organised the SGH Cochlear Implant Surgery Instructional Workshop and is frequently invited to teach on cochlear implant surgeries at conferences and workshops.

Assoc. Prof. Napadon Tangjaturonrasme

Assoc. Professor Napadon Tangjaturonrasme is an Otolaryngologist at Otolaryngology department, Faculty of Medicine. Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

Assoc. Professor Napadon Tangjaturonrasme did his graduation and post graduation in Oto-Rhino- Laryngology from Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He has also certified Fellow of the European Board in Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery from European Union of Medical Specialist. Then, Certificate of Observation Course in Robotic surgery from Severance Robot and MIS Training Center, Korea and Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery from Yonsei University, Korea.

Currently, Assoc. Professor Napadon Tangjaturonrasme is the Assistant Dean for Quality Management his hospital, Member of Fellow of the European Board in ORL-HNS.

His research encompasses various segments of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is regularly invited as an expert speaker in many scientific meeting for her field of expertise, including become the Key Opinion Leaders of several pharmaceutical companies.

Dr Nur Hashima Abdul Rashid

Dr Nur Hashima Abdul Rashid is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Prince Court Medical Centre. She obtained her medical degree from University of London, UK in 2002 and has been registered as an ENT specialist since 2012. She was a Visiting scholar at the Sleep Surgery Division, Stanford University, California, USA and is credentialed as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) which is the gold standard for sleep studies.

Dr Shima is a member of societies locally and overseas, namely the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists - Head and Neck Surgeons, the Sleep Disorder Society of Malaysia and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She was previously a medical lecturer at Faculty of Medicine, University Putra Malaysia and has published numerous articles in international and local indexed journals.
